A Portrait of Birmingham at Work

A collection, titled “A Portrait of Birmingham at Work” is on display at the Birmingham Public Library.  Southern Foodways Alliance commissioned Birmingham artist Celestia Morgan to create a series of portraits documenting restaurant labor across the city. 

Bob Sykes Bar B Q pie and cake maker Sharon Mayes and Pitmaster Martin Vaca are featured in this photo exhibit. Sharon has been Bob Sykes pie maker for 33 years and Martin has been the Pitmaster for 13 years.
