THANK YOU to everyone who attended and supported the 2022 Bob Sykes BBQ & BLUES Festival presented by The City of Bessemer, Premiere Chevrolet, BLOX and Pepsi. Several thousands of festival goers attended the beautiful DeBardeleben Park on April 30th and enjoyed a day of eating Bob Sykes BBQ and dancing to award winning, legendary blues musicians including Bobby Rush.

Van Sykes, owner of Bob Sykes Bar B Q was happy to choose “Caring Men and Caring Women” as the 2022 charity beneficiary. Caring Men and Caring Women is a mentoring program that offers middle school and high school students weekly, one-on-one mentoring from a positive mentor. Helping them to feel valued, supported, and heard and encouraged to take responsibility for their actions.

Since 2010, the Bob Sykes BBQ & BLUES Festival has provided funding for local charities including Red Mountain Grace, Children’s of Alabama, Bessemer Education Enhancement Foundation, Clay House, Hands On Birmingham, Ady’s Army and Latch and Live Foundation.

Bob Sykes BBQ & BLUES Festival is all about giving back to help others in the community. Check presentation was at the Bessemer City Council meeting.

Planning is now underway for the 2023 festival scheduled for April 29th.  Stay tuned for details at www.BobSykesBlues.com
